As a Commercial Account Manager for Allied Building Products, you will work to grow and maintain business with assigned large volume commercial accounts.
Job Description
:Utilize technical product expertise to identify project opportunities and proactively market them to the right assigned customers
:Grow revenue with existing customers and leverage those relationships to identify other customer leads and opportunities
:Prepare job quotes for all commercial bid work in your assigned geographical area and for your assigned commercial accounts
:Identify and negotiate with appropriate vendors to ensure we have purchasing and vendor selection strength on quoted projects
:Coordinate deliveries with the dispatchers, vendors, and common carriers as needed
:Actively manage and monitor business opportunities in your assigned account base to maximize revenue
:Maximize the close ratio on your assigned projects in the Opportunity Management System
:Turn around requests for quotes direct from customers, from outside sales reps, and inside sales reps within one business day
:Achieve sales and margin targets set for your portfolio of assigned accounts
:Achieve sales and margin targets for commercial products in your assigned geographical area
:Perform job site and office visits with customers as required to assist with specific project requirements and maintain long term customer relationships
:Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
:5+ years experience in commercial construction industry with specific expertise in commercial roofing, waterproofing, interior products, or restoration products
:3+ years experience in sales / account management
:Bachelor Degree or equivalent work experience
:Proven track record of working well on a collaborative team
:Versed in commercial product lines, technical knowledge, and the commercial sales process
:Organizational skills
:Interpersonal skills able to resolve conflict, and coordinate complex business transactions
:Working knowledge of Allied Building Products credit practices and policies to include project bonding and lien rights
:PC skills (i.e. Microsoft Office)
:Internally motivated and team oriented approach to a stressful work environment
