Job Description Pharmaceutical Sales Representative - Primary Care (Entry Level & Specialty openings) This Sales Representative - Pharmaceutical opportunity will represent our innovative pharmaceutical and healthcare products to selected key physicians and other healthcare professionals. As one of our Pharmaceutical Sales Reps your goal is to cultivate strong professional relationships with primary care as well as specialty physicians. The products you will represent are leaders in the pharmaceutical and healthcare markets. Your success as Pharmaceutical Sales Rep will depend upon you understanding the local market and physician needs while positioning product and services to improve care of patients as well as maximize sales. As one of our Pharmaceutical Sales Reps you must achieve sales goals by utilizing a patient-centric and clinical approach to engaging physician customers and promoting our portfolio of healthcare products to key physicians and other healthcare professionals. This Pharmaceutical Sales Representative opportunity also evaluates and recommends the most appropriate healthcare products and approved usage for the customers’ needs. Physician/Customer Relations: Externally, each Sales Representative - Pharmaceutical will maintain relationships with physicians, medical office staff, nurses, and other key personnel in health care settings as well as some large community health systems. As one of Sales Representatives you will also assist with their local clinical and educational initiatives by coordinating company resources to ensure an aligned approach to benefit improved patient health. Essential Pharmaceutical Sales Representative Job Responsibilities: * Effectively promote and educate targeted physicians/HCPs on the use of pharmaceutical and healthcare products through one-on-one meetings and group presentations, and promotional speaker programs. * Work in the field each week, supported by our office team as needed for call planning, customer follow-up, preparing presentations, making appointments, report generation, etc. * Ensure solid performance levels of call and field productivity. * Absolutely meet all compliance guidelines, and required promotional regulations * Execute product marketing plans and territory/regional business plan activities * Support targeted customers using sales materials, and promotional activities/programs/initiatives * Achieve territory product sales goals while adhering to all regulated and defined ethical sales practices, Compliance guidelines, and required promotional regulations * Additional duties as needed Quantitative Dimensions: * This Pharmaceutical Sales Rep position is responsible for achieving both territory product sales goals and territory sales activity goals through company defined metrics Organizational Context: This Pharmaceutical Sales Rep position: * Is available to experienced and entry level candidates * Reports to a Sales Manager * Maintains territory responsible for managing pharmaceutical and healthcare products * Balances territory and regional work and projects, while maintaining solid level of sales performance * Exhibits solid level of skill in competencies * Demonstrates sales influence within territory Qualifications needed to become one of our Pharmaceutical Sales Reps: Ability to work the assigned territory Excellent written and verbal communications skills Enjoyment of collaborative working relationships and a desire to participate in effective communication Must maintain all industry credentials and certifications Self-motivation and independence- developing one's own ways of doing things, guiding oneself with little or no supervision, and depending on oneself to get things done; someone who can thrive in a fast pace environment High quality customer service- customer needs assessment and evaluation of customer satisfaction Able to acquire and understand clinical and pharmacology science knowledge and then communicate it to a physician customer Social Perceptiveness and active listening- Being aware of others' reactions and giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made and how you can contribute to the conversation effectively Persistence and perseverance in the face of obstacles or undesired outcomes We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
