The Human Resources Generalist assists with the administration of the day:to:day operations of the Human Resources department with emphasis on hourly staffing, onboarding, retention, and HR Systems administration. The Human Resources Generalist will also have some responsibilities in the following functional areas of Human Resources: Payroll, employee relations, training, benefits, compensation, employee communications and administration.B.S. Partner with the temporary agency vendors to ensure that the organization is adequately staffedPartner with the local workforce investment organizations to solicit their help and support with hourly recruiting effortsDevelop, implement, communicate and refine hourly recruiting process to include a model which has Sacoma directly hiring production/manufacturing candidates so that the hourly recruiting is not single sourced through an agencyCoordinate, schedule, and participate in job fairs to increase applicant pool for critical hourly positions Using the Application Tracking System, provide hourly recruiting support to include, but not limited to, posting of positions, resume review, coordination of interviews, conducting interviews, and offer letter supportCoordinate any company required testing/assessments (i.e. background checking, drug screening, hourly assessments etc.) for the facilityConducts new hire orientations and assists with the onboarding process which includes doing a 90 day A?touch baseA? meeting with all new employeesPayroll contact for Sacoma and SMT locationsBenefits administration and open enrollment support as neededHelp develop policies and procedures and ensure effective, consistent communication and administrationAssist with unemployment and workersA? compensation administration, FMLA and other leave of absences administration and trackingWork with supervisors and employees to resolve employee relations issues/concerns Track turnover and conduct exit interviews for hourly employeesWork with manufacturing on attendance tracking and corrective actionSpecial projects : i.e. time keeping rolloutOther duties as assigned
