As the next step in a Continuous Improvement Lean Journey an Industry Leading Manufacture is adding a Dedicated CI Manager to their plants located in Indianapolis and Valparaiso Indiana.
Position Summary:
The Continuous Improvement (CI) Manager works with Plant Management leading continuous improvement activities. Reviews operations and provides solutions to resolve safety/ergonomic, quality, cost, throughput issues, and verifies or correct standard work procedures.
The CI Manager will be responsible identification, development, and execution of improvement projects to drive achievement of targeted goals both financial and operational goals. The CI Manager will be responsible for training and associates, and teams, on innovative thinking and questioning of established practices. Becoming the go to person for all improvement teams. This CI Manager works under the guidance of the corporate Continuous Improvement organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
: xF0B7; Responsible for the successful development and execution of specific OPEX/Lean Manufacturing projects, such as: internal and
:external Kanban, TPM, SMED, one:piece flow production, constraint management, and workplace organization
: xF0B7; Responsible for establishing teams as well as training and educating members on lean processes such as OEE, TPM, SMED, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Continuous Flow, JIT, Kanban
: xF0B7; Responsible for to establish project values
: xF0B7; Responsible for CI project management, administration, communications and systematic documentation of projects
: xF0B7; Defines projects in regard to customer requirements utilizing PFMEA, process flow mapping, control plan documentation and Capability Analysis.
: xF0B7; Reviews, measures and proactively studies KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) in an effort to prevent substandard product that does not meet customer.
: xF0B7; Study KPIs and works with Quality and Operations team to see products meet or exceeds customer specifications.
: xF0B7; Developing processes to attain and sustainability of improvement objectives
: xF0B7; Leading teams through events (Kaizen) and develop of value streams assisting with justifications and teams prioritization
: xF0B7; Establish and maintain monthly progress reviews in accordance with site leadership requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
: xF0B7; Bachelors Degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering
: xF0B7; Minimum of 10 years of manufacturing experience where there was a focus on Lean Manufacturing in a high speed high volume manufacturing plant.
: xF0B7; Minimum of 5 years in a Continuous Improvement role where you have demonstrated a knowledge of and use of lean manufacturing practices and tools
: xF0B7; Six Sigma certification : black belt preferred
: xF0B7; Certification in Lean manufacturing preferred
: xF0B7; Proven Project Management and execution skills
: xF0B7; Have demonstrated effectively work cross functionally across all departments
