Goodwill Industries of Central and Southern Indiana, Inc. seeks to address some of the serious social problems affecting our community. Goodwill Guides attempts to address the fragmented structure of the social services industry by taking a holistic, whole:family approach. This approach is foundational to GoodwillA?s existing wrap:around services provided to employees, and their families. Efforts are tracked to educational and employment outcomes. Goodwill Guides provide alternative life strategies by preparing for success through employment, financial management, future planning, and education. This role demonstrates behaviors consistent with our Mission, Vision and Values, on behalf of Goodwill of Central and Southern Indiana. ResponsibilitiesInitiate and maintain contact with key community partners including Goodwill staff (community agencies, educational institutions, financial liaisons, and employers) to enhance the menu of support services provided to clients. Assess students to determine nature and degree of services and refer them to appropriate services.Coach participants to act on and achieve their long term educational and employment goals in life. Participate in the evaluation and continuous improvement in the Goodwill Guides programs and a means to create and build upon community partnerships. Conduct one:on:one follow up with participants to continually monitor participantsA? efforts and measure progress. Generate status reports and make adjustments as needed. Create and manage participant database and anize and present job readiness preparation either one:on:one or in small groups.Stay abreast of current labor market data to provide clients information on employment opportunities.Other duties as assigned.BachelorA?s degree required, experience in behavioral sciences is preferred.3 or more years of experience assisting individuals with personal strategic development plans and economic self:sufficiency.Previous experience developing and maintaining a network of community resources and relationships. Able to provide a mature network of contacts.Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).Technologically savvy with solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office, databases and the internet. Efforts to Outcome (ETO) experience a plus.Excellent in developing others using reflective practice, Socratic and Appreciative Inquiry techniques.Willing to travel to participant homes, workplaces, community centers and other venues at times that are convenient to individuals being served. Bi:lingual in English and Spanish is a plus.Must be available to work a flexible schedule beyond normal business hours.Up to date automobile insurance and valid driverA?s license with good driving record. Regular travel is required.
