Director of Educational Assessment The Director of Educational Assessment reports to the Assistant Provost and is an essential part of educational assessment at Marian University. The position requires a person with experience and skills in educational methods, assessment, organizational development, and evaluation. The position includes a focus on educational activities that will engage all departments, faculty and administrators within the university to cultivate educational quality and improvement. The successful candidate will facilitate collaborative synergy with all assessment stakeholders in Marian's pursuit of academic quality. Responsibilities: Plan, facilitate, and oversee assessment related activities and data collection for the University in collaboration with faculty and staffFoster collaboration and maintain momentum of key initiativesManage the program review process for the university in collaboration with the Teaching and Learning CommitteeDevelop a strategic plan for assessment initiatives at the University in collaboration with administration and facultyAnalyze and summarize program level and institutional dataCollaborate with the Institutional Research Office to facilitate a comprehensive review of metrics for student successDevelop process to track learning outcomes at Marian UniversityDevelop and manage the use of Tk20 software to track assessment activities for the UniversityDesign and present faculty development sessions regarding student learning objectives, assessment design and measurementUse competency based assessment principles to direct university-wide assessmentContribute to the development of accreditation documents for HLC and professional accreditorsConsult with faculty to encourage scholarly works related to educational assessmentProactively identify and implement opportunities for improvement Requirements: Candidates should have a Master's degree in a related field. A doctoral degree is preferredSuperior ability to facilitate collaboration and maintain forward momentum of key initiatives.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents and reports, legal requirements, governmental regulations, university policies and procedures.Ability to write correspondence and procedure manuals.Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from members of the university or business community.Ability to meet deadlines for meetings, projects, reports and assignments.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions with minimal supervision.Must have strong computer skills and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Located 10 minutes west of downtown Indianapolis, Marian University's mission is to be a great Catholic university dedicated to providing students with excellent teaching and learning in the Franciscan and liberal arts tradition.
