SUMMARY
The Account Operations Manager (ALM) will be managing the execution of the customer network from an account management standpoint. The ALM will manage Supply Chain Managers to work closely with internal operations, support teams, and customers to resolve supply chain issues using data and trend analysis as well as find and define root cause operational issues impacting requirements of the SOW. The ALM will play a key role (along with the Account Manager and Sales) in achieving company objectives and contribute to identifying, analyzing and developing value:added supply chain solutions for ProTrans customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
:Manage Supply Chain Managers to act as a liaison between operations, engineering, service providers, customer suppliers and customer plant/warehouse locations to meet or exceed established service level agreements as defined in the SOW
:Develop communication and operational processes to manage account logistics effectively in order to meet and exceed customer expectations.
:Understand ProTrans operational processes for all areas relating to the services your assigned accounts have under contract. Develp and utilize metrics to measure success of customer service, ie: servicing add change or cancel requests, unplanned request, hot shipment/load updates.
:Assure that daily turnover between day shift SCM and after hours SCM is coordinated, understood and effective.
:Develop effective track and trace and escalation techniques for all shipment pickups, deliveries and en route activities during all responsible shift hours including Logistics Plan, unplanned, hotboard and shift turnover related moves.
:Serve as an escalation point on assigned accounts to address significant customer issues.
:Escalation point for service issues and daily operational issue resolution
:Assist (as required) startup and implementation of new key accounts or additional business for existing accounts as needed for all products and services offered by ProTrans including Third Party Logistics (3PL) services, transportation consolidation services, and warehousing services.
:Manage Supply Chain Managers to and/or act as the main point of contact for all tactical customer related actions, issues, etc.
:Assist as needed in managing the CPAR/8D process when a quality issue occurs for assigned customers.
:Work internal and external parties to organize the various components needed to initiate, run and conclude daily operations.
:Manage issues log and open tasks for assigned accounts to ensure deliverable are met and closure occurs on key customer initiatives. In addition prepare trip notes and meeting notes as needed.
:Attend customer meetings as required.
:Provide backup coverage for SCM team as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS

:Must have excellent communication skills : Spanish and English preferred.
:Ability to effectively lead meetings : face to face, conference calls and/or on:line.
:Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
:Ability to utilize web:based Business Intelligence tools to identify downward trends and continuous improvement opportunities.
:Must be self motivated and willing to be flexible in work schedule and hours. Sometimes the job requires staying later or taking calls during off hours or weekends to assist with customer issues.
:Proven experience and ability to be a problem solver.
:Good customer relations skills and ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all management levels .
