Job Summary:This position is responsible for all network and security infrastructure (enterprise, partner, and customer facing). Responsibilities include working with a team of engineers and administrators leading projects designing, implementing, and maintaining DEFENDERS Data Centers and network infrastructure. To be successful, strong technical, critical thinking, problem solving and organization skills are required.Essential Functions:Monitor and ensure system uptime and backup for network related equipment.Oversee security of hosted services and applications including security requirements and architecture, risk analysis, and periodic change reviews.Conduct security assessments (with security team) and make recommendations on data/voice network (LAN/WLAN/WAN/DMZ/Internet), disaster recovery, remote access, network appliances, servers, and directory services security.SPOC for all Priority 1 call, 24X7, work with team based on On:call, shift rostering.Conduct incident triage and response, including working with firewall and device logs, investigating security events, protecting forensic value of data and establishing monitoring and incident reporting and response procedures.Manage development and refinement of functional business and system requirements.Design, implement and provide support for all network related hardware/software.Accountable for support for overall Infrastructure/ Datacenter (Servers, Racks, Network, Telecom and VOIP) Operations.Hands:on datacenter management (servers, racks, cabling), Network, Telecom and VOIP, Rack and Blade servers, Storage, Backup, in mission critical production landscape.Display leadership in working within DEFENDERS and with vendors to move projects forward in a coordinated manner and to ensure that internal performance requirements are met.Help establish and refine principles and practices for network design principles, implementation, documentation and LAN/WAN maintenance.Serve as subject matter expert on all business procedures associates with assets and capacity.Emergency communication system support including working with 3rd parties.Conduct data center planning and analysis (i.e. rack space, power, DC modular containment).Responsible for regular audits of EMS to ensure to ensure systems and process work correctly.Monitor all software and hardware products and ensure compliance to Data Center standards and systems.Responsible for analyzing production operations and initiates corrective actions to ensure operational stability Background and Education:Bachelors Degree in Information Technology or related degree or equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree. CCIE, CCSP, CCDP, CISSP, CISM, CISA, preferred but not required.Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to understand and apply new technologies. Experience with data center and backup service, management, design, build:out and best practices.Experience with SAN technologies from EMC, NetApp, Pure Storage. Proficiency with vSphere in an Enterprise cluster environment, to include setting up and configuring High Availability and Disaster Recovery Services within clusters. Expert knowledge of networking and routing protocols such as, TCP/IP, BGP4 (multi:homing), OSPF (multi:area), RIP, ISIS, etc. Expert working knowledge in the operation of Ethernet LAN switching protocols and standards including, VLANs, VLAN aggregation, Ether Channel, PVLANs, Spanning Tree and Rapid Spanning Tree, 802.1Q. Solid understanding of multi:vendor blade/chassis and standalone server installation, administration and troubleshooting. Previous experience in deploying any DHCP technology for a large enterprise environment. Extensive knowledge of network security systems, intrusion detection systems and protocols including, ACE, ACS, VPN, GRE, IPSEC, IKE, TACACS, RADIUS, ACLs, 802.1x, audits, log files etc. Advanced knowledge of DNS and DHCP and Microsoft AD infrastructure.
