Our commitment: supporting the delivery of exciting new experiences for consumers in theaters, homes and on:the:go.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Develop quality production level application code and ensure that the deliverables align with the product roadmap and vision.Ensure consistent quality in all software that is released.Be responsible for working on technical initiatives and ensuring deliverables and timelines are met.Research, design and write new software tegrate existing software applications.Research new technologies.Create technical specifications.Work closely with other staff.Develop new functionality on our existing software products.Lead/mentor developers and share knowledge through knowledge:sharing presentations.Participate in a small, experienced, energetic team. Key Responsibilities:Provide general product development support as part of a cross functional team.Design and architect products.Understands and articulates technologies to customers and other engineers.Identifies changing requirements and recommends solutions.Oversees projects and technical management.Works with product management to ensure that implementations are consistent with overall software strategy.Develop software in C/C++ for advanced gateway products.Generate design documentation for all software modules developed.Solve integration and field issues during the integration and deployment phases of the project.Researches, designs, develop, implements, and tests software and related releases, and evaluates programs for functional areas.Researches, collects, and reports information on the ability and capacity of company products and competing equipment.Analyzes, designs, develops, debugs, and modifies software/system enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, or Internet:related computer programs.The candidate should have 2+ years minimum experience as a C/C++ software engineer on embedded systems. Experience programming with the Linux OS as well as good understanding of real:time operating system concepts is required. An understanding of network protocol operations (Ethernet, TCP/IP, multicast IP, IGMP, etc.) is required. BS/MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.Self:starter, detail oriented, with drive to focus and deliver results quickly.Team player with strong interpersonal, written and verbal skills.Takes initiatives and acts on terested in going beyond current knowledge and scope.Potential to transition to a team lead role. Additionally, the following skills are considered a plus:Knowledge of gateways, agile methodologies, cloud technologies.Knowledge of ADSL/ VDSL gateways, WiFi, Fiber (PON), LTEKnowledge of web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, RESTful APIA?s Technicolor is an equal opportunity employer.
