With hard work, you'll reap benefits both professionally and personally. Responsibilities: ? Seeking an AIX/Linux System Administrator. This position is responsible for administrative build out and support of all AIX systems hosted in the corporate data center, as well as Linux systems hosted in the corporate data center and in the cloud. The AIX system administration team is responsible for maintaining and monitoring locally hosted AIX systems as well as locally and cloud based Linux servers. Responsibilities include * Building and maintaining installation images for internal AIX servers running versions 6.1 and 7.1 on pSeries hardware. * System deployment and management using HMC and PowerVC. * Monitoring server and system availability through the use of internal monitoring systems and tools * Troubleshooting operating system errors with assistance from vendors, as needed. * Securing the operating systems and maintaining standards based on standard operating procedures. * Applying best practice in performance tuning of servers. * Propose process improvements (updates, automation, procedures) to enhance the performance and availability of systems. * Develop shell scripts to assist in automating the administration process for all systems. * Maintain system configuration and procedural documentation. Job Functions: ? * Troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common system problems; document system events to ensure continuous function. Recommend course of action and implement as approved. * Upgrade system software as required to meet business and system needs. * Install, test upgrade and configure operating systems and services to enhance performance and security of systems. * Interact with development, support and user communities to provide necessary assistance. * Utilize standard corporate tools for tracking and management of changes, problems and service requests. * Participate in on call rotation for after hours support. Qualifications: ? Job Requirements * Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. * 5-8 years AIX administration (6.1, 7.1) experience. * Experience with shell scripting (bash, ksh, Perl) * Experience managing AIX and VIOS LPARs via HMC required. PowerVC experience is a plus. * Experience with Tomcat, Apache, Active Directory integration, MySQL/MariaDB. * PowerHA (HACMP) experience is a plus. * 2+ Linux experience (RHEL/CentOS/Oracle Linux preferred) is a plus. * 2+ years experience with deploying systems in a VMware environment. * 2+ years cloud services experience (AWS, HP, RackSpace) desirable. *We offer competitive salaries, an excellent benefit package including medical, dental, vision, and (401k)!* Freedom Mortgage Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to workforce diversity.
