This position serves as Payroll Accountant and is reponsible for ensuring that employees are paid in an accurate and timely manner. This position reports to the Payroll Supervisor.Responsible for helping with implementation of PeopleSoft Time and Labor for all employeesAnswering employees questions, problem solving and trainingRunning PeopleSoft reports for missing, A:4s, unapproved time, lost hours, under/over 75 hours, other time, funeral leaves and employees not entered into Time ReporterMaking sure all payroll procedures are in compliance with State Board of AccountsProcessing all amended A:4s this includes making changes in the system, writing up leave adjustments and adjustments to gross, and making corrections to the disk reportTracking FML hours used and availableTracking employees on STD, LTD, Workmans Comp, suspension, military leave or using special sick leaveGenerating and submitting payroll disks to auditorMaintaining high quality data integrity and proper documentation for all payroll functionsfiling all payroll material and maintenance once the pay cycle is completed.Processing all incoming mail which includes: opening, date stamping and delivering to the appropriate personResponsible for assisting payroll supervisor with other duties as needed Knowledge of payroll functions and policies to be able to assist in any area needed for submission of payrollMust be flexible to work late if needed to meet payroll deadlinesMust process the ability to work under pressure yet produce accurate work in a timely mannerMust have ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships while maintaining employee and employer confidentialityAbility to communicate well orally and in writing
