Manager - SEC Reporting and PolicyManager - SEC Reporting and Policy is responsible for providing advanced accounting skills to research, support and document accounting questions and assist in the Company's external reporting processes. This position prepares and analyzes financial statements and fulfills complex analysis and reporting requests.Primary AccountabilitiesCollaborates with business stakeholders to support external reporting process, including quarterly (form 10-Q), annual (form 10-K), and current (form 8-K) SEC filings. Prepares and maintains supporting documentation.Prepares financial statements, disclosures, and XBRL for quarterly and annual filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) including Forms 10-K and 10-Q. The Company utilizes WebFilings tool for drafting, XBRL tagging, and submitting filings with the SEC.Collaborates with Investor Relations to prepare quarterly earnings release financials and supporting documentationSupports the development of accounting policies.Conducts research of new accounting pronouncements and emerging issues to fulfill advanced reporting and analysis needs. As requested, answers complex questions related to accounting policies. Runs various scenarios through accounting principles to interpret impact.Performs ad-hoc analysis and drafts documentation of technical accounting research conclusions.Assist in technical accounting issues such as acquisitions, divestitures, bond issuances, derivative accounting, pension and other health and welfare plan accounting and other projects as needed Supports quarterly reviews and annual audits by independent external auditors.Adheres to SOX compliant policies and procedures.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Accounting is required; CPA is also required.3-5 years of experience with a Big 4 firm6-8 years of total accounting experience required with preferred experience in external reportingExperience with analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions.Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines requiredMust have extensive experience in MS Office applications including Excel, Word, Power Point and OutlookAllegion is a diverse and inclusive environment.
