Accounts Payable LeadAccounts Payable Lead / Carmel, INJOB SUMMARY:The successful candidate will provide support in managing Allegion Americas Accounts Payable in annual disbursements in excess of $750M. Key responsibilities include projects and support acquisitions, resolution of payment issues, and month end close process. This individual must build effective customer relationships and collaborate with internal and external business partners. Position requires an innovative thinker and eager to play a crucial role in the transformation of accounts payable function as we migrate ERP platforms. This individual must be able to work in a fast paced environment where the ability to prioritize is key and teamwork is a must. Essential Functions and Responsibilities:Lead month end close process and analyzing A/P MetricsLead accounts payable integration of newly acquired US business unitsProvide support for ERP system implementation pertaining to all A/P functionsResponsible for the accurate preparing of financial information into the general ledgers.Analyze monthly throughput of invoice handling with our third party invoice processor to improve efficiencyReview and investigate the cause of rejected disbursementsPrepare monthly account reconciliation of GL/subledger reportsAccounts Payable process owner for Sarbanes Oxley (Sox) and External Audit PartnersDevelops, implements and maintains systems, procedures and policies, including accounts payable functions to ensure adherence to company guidelinesParticipate in the annual Operating Plan and Forecasting processDrive productivity and standardization across business unitsManage Levels of Authority with ERP System in accordance to policyLead department efforts to formally problem-solve utilizing lean methodologiesPOSITION REQUIREMENTSBS in Finance, Accounting, or other related Business degreeMinimum 5 years' experience in accounting and/or financeUnderstanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting PrincipalsExperience with month end close process and accounts payable accrualsStrong analytical and problem solving skillsMust possess excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and build relationships with team personnel, plants, functional departments and vendorsAbility to maintain a positive attitude while functioning in a fast pace, high volume, environment.Ability to negotiate and effectively communicate judgment decisions requiredExcellent written and oral communication skills requiredMust be detail oriented and organizedDemonstrated track record of process improvementsPC literacy requiredKnowledgeable on multiple ERP systems is a plusAllegion is a diverse and inclusive environment.
