The Accounting Specialist will report to the Controller and be responsible for data entry, processing, and financial accounting analysis relating to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. The Accounting Specialist will have routine interactions with various individuals throughout the company while ensuring appropriate weekly payments to corporate employees and suppliers. The Accounting Specialist will have strong communication and organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.

· Accounts payable: supplier credit check review, invoice approval and three-way match verification, weekly supplier payment processing, invoice/payment filling, routine communication with suppliers
· Payroll: new employee payroll setup, employee deduction/withholding maintenance, verification of appropriate payroll approvals, weekly payment processing
· Accounts receivable: bank deposits, cash receipt processing, aged receivable review and supplier follow-up
· Prepare documentation as requested by external auditors
· Provide backup support to other accounting functions as applicable
· Other tasks as assigned

Required Qualifications
· Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business or progress towards a degree. Relevant experience may be used in lieu of a degree.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a team oriented environment
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office
· Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
· Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality

Preferred Qualifications
Accounts payable or payroll processing experience
Manufacturing and accounting system experience
